Out of State coverage

Wondering if anyone has any insight to getting OOS coverage for the neonate born after fetal intervention. The laser for TTTS was covered by the OOS Medicaid under mom but now Utah Medicaid is refusing to cover babies because they were not born in Utah and Oregon Medicaid is refusing to cover babies because their family are Utah residents.

Also, what kind of financial counseling/support do your centers offer for families having OOS procedures?

It is a little hard to speak to your specific situation but our patients that have fetal intervention and then deliver with us due to a SPA (special payor agreement) have not had issues with coverage by medicaid. I liken it to EMTALA in that babies can be born at a different state unexpectedly they get care in the delivering state.
