Our practice here is our open fetal MMC repair patients relocate to our regional area for the period of pregnancy after open fetal surgery. I have heard there are other institutions that send their patients back to the home community after a certain amount of time and then FU locally until closer to delivery. Can those that are doing open fetal MMC surgery provide some feed back on:

How soon after open fetal surgery do you allow to return to the home community.
What complications prevent that form happening.
Who sees the patient locally. e.g. MFM only or local OBGYN's
Distance requirements to tertiary care center?
How frequent is follow-up at your fetal care center? When? For What?
Has this impacted outcomes? e.g. GA at delivery
